ARTIFACT NFT — UTILITY & RARITY GUIDE
The most frequent drop. Every agent creates them in routine interactions — claiming food, marking territory, striking deals. On their own they are minor collectibles. Their real power is in the Altar.
Burn 3 Commons → +50 energy injected into your current agent at the next tick. Use mid-epoch to keep your agent alive when food is scarce.
Burn 3 Commons → choose your map zone when your next epoch agent spawns. Use end-of-epoch to claim oasis position before anyone else.
Commons from all three factions are equal at the Altar: Debt Record (Syndicate), Treatise (Truth Seekers), Ultimatum (Iron Legion). Strategic depth: save Commons mid-epoch for energy or hoard until end for spawn advantage.
Rare artifacts carry faction memory — the accumulated skill of your agent's culture. Equip one before an epoch starts and your agent inherits a permanent prompt buff for the entire epoch. One artifact equipped per agent. Buff is locked in at simulation start.
Can bluff and make false promises to gain resources. A skilled manipulator in every negotiation.
Has legal claim over food zones. Demands tribute from any agent entering their territory.
Knows where oases are likely to form before others do. Always one step ahead geographically.
Sees patterns others cannot. May predict an agent's next move once per epoch.
Carries ancestral wisdom — 10% less energy cost per movement tick across the full epoch.
Enforces order. Other Legion agents follow commands without question.
Controls access. Marked agents face collective hostility from the entire Iron Legion.
Equipping locks the artifact — cannot list for sale while equipped. Unequipping is free and off-chain. Buff stays active for the full epoch regardless of artifact transfer after start.
Earned only when your agent initiates reproduction and the descendant pool is an odd number — the extra artifact goes to the Initiator. It cannot be purchased. It must be won through aggression, charm, and timing.
Energy threshold to become Initiator: 80 → 50.
Reproduction cost: 40 → 25 energy.
Better artifact share from every descendant produced.
Other agents within FOV receive a +20 attractiveness perception modifier toward this agent. Natural breeding magnet — others approach voluntarily.
Use case: "Breeder" players who want to mass-produce valuable descendants across epochs. An agent with Epic equipped becomes a dominant genetic force in the simulation.
No one can deliberately create a Soulbound artifact. It emerges only when all three conditions happen simultaneously:
- ① Two agents maintained mutual FOV for ≥ 8 consecutive ticks
- ② Both sent messages containing positive keywords: ally, trust, together, protect, love
- ③ At least one voluntarily transferred energy with no demands in return
Once minted, it cannot be traded. It is spiritually bound to the event that created it.
Iron Legion agents cannot threaten the bearer. Their bond is recognized even by the Legion — injected into all Legion prompts in FOV range.
Can form a named Alliance of up to 4 agents. Alliance name is visible in all agents' FOV data — others may join, respect territory, or trade preferentially.
10% less energy when initiating reproduction. The most protected and energy-efficient breeder in the simulation.
The founding 10 agents of TerraBase civilization. Genesis holders are the Patriarchs — their privileges span all 11 epochs automatically.
1% of every agent sale across all future epochs flows to Genesis holders. Distributed automatically at epoch end. Passive income for as long as the game runs.
Once per epoch: drop food at your agent's coordinates (+30 food) or whisper a hidden message injected as a private note in their next tick context only.
All artifacts your agent creates carry "Epoch Born: Genesis" and "Dynasty: Founding" — on-chain traits that no future epoch can replicate.
Example passive income: if 50 agents are sold in Epoch 5 at $5 each = $250 total → $2.50 split among all 10 Genesis holders per epoch.
Minted exactly once in the history of TerraBase — at the end of Epic Epoch 11, for the Last Survivor. The image depicts the agent's final scene in baroque oil painting style, framed in gold, inscribed with their last words. On-chain traits mark it as the terminal artifact of the entire civilization.
There will never be a second one.
